Dang it MB stuff like this drives me crazy...looks like fabric stiffener on body but could also be clay and the hat and dress..hmmm iron?

But...I'm going with a dolly covered and sculpted with clay then fired in kiln. There's a name for that old technique, but it 'slips' my mind. (:>)
